Will be be responsible for procuring materials and services within standard practice, policy and SC & A Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities:

Understand and comprehend production plans and demand schedules.

Create and manage purchase orders.

Constant follow-up of purchase orders.

Expedite back and late purchase orders.

Interface with other departments as necessary regarding problems.

Prepare and process supplier RFQ?s

Proven skills in the development of supplier partnerships and VMI

Proficient in PC Applications to include: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; industry experience may be substituted for education requirements

Specialized in materials management/ supply chain management

3-5 years of previous experience of procurement in a manufacturing environment

Experience in MRP, JIT, and TQM process

APICS/CPIM certification is desirable
