Jobing Description
The Communications & Fund Development Assistant works under the supervision of the VP of Communications & Fund Development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining the donor database and generating reports; updating and maintaining multiple websites and social media sites; coordinating the content and distribution of e-newsletters and e-fundraising campaigns.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Ensure accurate and timely data entry in donor database system, enter all donor contributions and in-kind support, and generate donor acknowledgements. Print and prepare all correspondence for mailing within specified deadlines.
2.Reconcile donor database records with Finance department system and maintain updated and accurate filing of donor related records.
3.Research donor and board member contribution history and revise records as needed.
4.Provide necessary training on donor database software to BGCT staff as needed.
5.Generate reports necessary for all Resource Development fundraising activities as directed.
6.Coordinate tracking of all Board/Associate Board Member profiles and productivity reports.
7.Compile and manage all mailing lists for Communications and Fund Development activities.
8.Maintain and update all BGCT websites and social media sites to include photos, video, editorial content, sponsor/partner acknowledgements and hyperlinks, clubhouse information, fundraising campaigns, etc.
9.Monitor online activity and distribute monthly reports.
10.Coordinate e-newsletter and e-fundraising campaigns on a monthly and as needed basis.
Skills / Requirements
Associate‚s degree in a relevant field and 2 years similar experience in database management and website/social media maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have computer skills, ability to learn new software programs; attention to detail, be organized, have demonstrated initiative, and ability to handle multiple projects. Experience with DonorPerfect preferred.
