Health and Wellness
Because it is important for healthcare providers to promote a healthy environment and lifestyle, Tucson Medical Center has implemented a tobacco-free hiring policy. Effective October 1, 2010, TMC will no longer hire applicants who are users of tobacco products. By submitting an application with Tucson Medical Center you agree to commit to being tobacco-free.
TMC's employee wellness program "Live Well" offers employees and family members a variety of lifestyle program to improve their health and earn rewards in the process. Seasonal programming includes team and individual fitness challenges, wellness workshops, free yoga classes, support for a healthy holiday season and more. Medical plan members have access to free wellness coaching, weight loss programs and diabetes prevention programming.
Employees can take advantage of convenient walking paths on campus and join co- workers at TMC sponsored community fitness events. TMC's cafeteria also offers a great discount when choosing healthy food items. The TMC community is looking forward to the grand opening of an employee gym in August 2013.
