I was born in Muleshoe, Tx. Being raised by hard-working parents, I learned the importance of work ethic at an early age. I had my own lawn mowing service at the age of twelve. By the age of 16, I spent my summers hauling hay, trimming trees and was able to buy my first car.

At the age of seventeen, I moved to Dallas, TX.   Working at UPS I was able to put myself through the University of Texas at Arlington.  Hard work and dedication allowed me rapid advancement with UPS, joining the management team within a year. 

Determined to find my passion in the business world, I relocated to Albuquerque, NM and worked for a home building company.  Starting on the ground floor, again I worked my way up to management, supervising crews and working with subcontractors. 

The opportunity arose within my family to start up a "family" business.  I packed up my wife and children and headed to California where a brother was already running catering trucks.  However, after three years of long hours I was still someone else's employee.   There was no partnership and lots of frustration.  Frustration being a powerful motivator, my determination grew.  I realized my real dream was to own my own business. 

In 1995, I started researching business opportunities and found Subway franchises for sale in Tucson, AZ.  Not having the financial means I sought a private investor.  He knew my character and passion to prove myself.  The business arrangement allowed me a "sweat equity" position after 10 years.  A year and a half into the venture, the investor proceeded to sell the restaurants. 

In 1997, I became the sole owner of the five Subway Franchises.  By 2000 I had built the company to 18 stores and became the  #1 Franchisee in Subway owning eighteen stores. Today we have 33 stores and are still expanding.
