We are recruiting for a full-time DIRECT CARE PROFESSIONAL (DCP) for our group homes for youth in Tucson. Group Care provides a family environment and cares for children and teens until they transition into a home, long-term foster care or independent living. SCHEDULE: Wed-Sat: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Sun Overnights: 10:00pm-8:00am. Pay Range: $9.75-$11.27/hr depending on education/experience, plus $0.50 shift differential for evening and overnight shifts.

What does this shift typically look like?
- Managing behaviors and needs of the clients.
- Shift changeover - communicate any issues or concerns to the staff coming on shift.
- Transporting clients to appointments from when needed.
- Other functions include; supervising study hour, preparing and cooking dinner, supervising free time and chore time, conducting community meetings with the clients, facilitating recreation time, and conducting bed prep and down time.
- Check on each client a minimum of every 15 minutes after bedtime.
- Document all client activity through the night (unable to sleep, up to use the restroom, etc).
- Work on file audits, service plan documentation, food count and inventory, as well as a checklist of other nightly checks and tasks.

**All shifts are required to document behaviors and interactions for all clients during each shift, so a large part of the time will be spent completing progress notes and weekly/monthly summaries.

Skills / Requirements

-HS diploma or GED required (Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred).
-Minimum one (1) year experience working in behavioral health required, preferably with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotional needs.
-Proficient computer skills needed.

Physical Requirements: Pre-employment Physical required. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat. Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.
