This is a fantastic opportunity for a logistics supervisor with five years experience to step up into a solid position with an established Tucson company. In this role you will support, lead, and develop the plant logistics department.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and controlling the supply chain.
Analyzing shipping notices, bills of landing and processes, tracking and following up on all orders, as well as the procurement of materials.
Being the main point of contact for customers and third party providers.
Liaising with the accounting and sales departments regularly.
Identifying improvement opportunities and providing suggestions for improvement to management.
Hiring, disciplining and appraising warehouse employees.
You will also need the following minimum requirements:
A Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5 years recent logistics experience.
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English and an APICS qualification are highly desired, but not required!
MS Office, SAP, MRP and EDI systems knowledge are essential.
Ability to operate within the budget targets and negotiate and approve logistics costs for 3rd party logistics providers.
Excellent communication, leadership, development and organizational skills are a must!Important Notes
