Jobing Description

Job Type: FULL TIME

Consults with nursing and medical staff regarding prescriptions, orders, drug and pharmaceutical detail, patient reactions, errors and complaints. Provides prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals. Compounds medications according to professional standards and practices. Conducts Drug Utilization Reviews and prepares Drug Review Criteria for medical staff review and approval. Monitors drug therapy and suggests alternative drug therapy as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an AACP-accredited College of Pharmacy, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Experience 2 to 3 years.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:
Current Arizona Pharmacist License, or eligible for licensure in Arizona. Must obtain license within 6 months of hire.
