Description: The Town of Marana is accepting applications for an HR Analyst or Senior HR Analyst to work in the Human Resources Department. Examples of Duties: This position has overall responsibility for benefits and leave case management for the Town. Candidates must have broad HR knowledge/generalist experience plus specific expertise administering benefit programs and offering innovative strategies and practices that deliver high quality and responsive benefit programs and services to employees. Experience should include: participation in bid process to select vendors; negotiations with benefit vendors; plan design analysis and development; benefit plan implementation; development of communication strategies; managing and coordinating all aspects of the Open Enrollment process, open enrollment and benefit events; daily administration of all benefit plans, and leave case management. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment is a must as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management and maintain a productive and responsive relationship with internal and external customers. The senior level position requires a high level of independent decision making, and capability to take full ownership of the benefits role; work with minimal supervision; integrate benefit plans and programs into a full compensation approach; and to develop outreach programs for benefits and wellness ensuring full understanding and participation by employees. Additional experience with and knowledge of database development and system upgrades, the ability to productively interact with HR staff to support efforts in classification and compensation, onboarding program development, and other work as needed in the HR department will fulfill the Senior HR Analyst position..
Skills / Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Requires a bachelor‚s degree with relevant major in human resources, human relations, public or private business administration, with 4 or more years of generalist/specialist experience for the HR Analyst and 6 or more years for the Senior HR Analyst. Applicant may substitute relevant specialized education, training and experience to meet the knowledge, skills, abilities and characteristics required. Strong written and verbal/presentation skills, experience establishing and maintaining constructive vendor relationships, and strong computer expertise required. Public sector experience a plus. Professional certifications preferred.
