Jobing Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tool Maker who possesses a solid understanding of machining, tool design, milling, welding, turning, and basic metallurgy, to step up into a permanent position with our established Tucson client.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Machining Dewar vessels and associated parts using standard machine tools such as a manual Mills and Lathes.
  • Building and integrating internal assemblies such as filter wheel assemblies.
  • Assisting with design reviews and tool proofs.
  • Applying lean principles and practices to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Training and/or leading lower level machinists when necessary.


    You will also need the following minimum requirements:
  • A High School Diploma. Higher education is highly desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple-step procedures and handle frequent interruptions in work flow.
  • In-depth knowledge of designing tools, dies and jigs.
  • Must enjoy working within a functional team of engineers.
  • Demonstrated skills in sustaining and improving existing full production tools.
