Job Description

Arizona Community Physicians (ACP) is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our successful physician-owned medical group. We are a patient-centered organization consisting of approximately 890 employees including 170 providers spanning across Tucson, Green Valley and Oro Valley. This position will office in our Executive Management Office. We are seeking candidates who can successfully contribute across a variety of financial business needs. Successful candidates will be comfortable stepping in to handle routine daily needs, including the little stuff, as well as managing accounting responsibilities. Job Summary

The Financial Analyst performs in depth analysis of systems data and reporting to identify trends, projections, budget considerations and proformas for expected outcomes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
  • Monitor compliance with accounting principles and company procedures
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Provide advice and assistance and early warning of such problems as cost over-runs, excessive charges and potential penalties
  • Develop models to depict financial and related activities tailored for specific operations
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • May be assigned special projects and additional duties
  • Will be cross trained in other duties


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other closely related field
  • Financial analyzing exerience with advanced knoweldge of accounting and financial analysis principles
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, analytical skills, math skills and communication skills
  • Experience and expertise using advanced Excel features and techniques
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative data
  • Knowledge and expertise in analysis and presentation of data
  • Ability to evaluate data integrity and quality to ensure accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent judgment and ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people
  • Prefer experience working in the healthcare industry
