Extended Service Contract Claims Adjuster

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides accurate claims processing while delivering customer service excellence in a call center environment. This is established through contract interpretation, identification of mechanical failures and adherence to established processes. Additionally the claims adjuster will assist Dealerships, Contract Holders and Business Partners with questions about contract coverage, procedures and technical assistance.


1. Follow processes in place to verify claim eligibility, parts and labor verification and claim authorization and denial.
2. Provide coverage and procedure inquiry support to service advisors and service managers of dealerships, repair shops and service contract holders as needed.
3. Accurate documentation required in database system.
4. Contacts repair facility to determine specific mechanical failure, procedures used to determine failure, and discuss part and labor pricing and determines whether to request an independent inspection.
5. Forwards authorized claims to accounts payable for payment ensuring all data, facts and conclusions have been documented.
6. Ensures all claim information is posted accurately and in a timely manner.


1. Requires automotive repair and/or warranty experience.
2. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills using excellent verbal and written communication skills. Resolving questions in sometimes difficult situations.
3. Strong organizational and computer skills.
4. Working knowledge of mechanical failures, parts and labor repair costs, experience in interpreting contracts and coverage.
5. Creative problem solver, results oriented, strong analytical skills.
6. Multi-tasker in a continuously changing environment.
7. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence and technical procedures.
8. Able to work with a diverse population of co-workers and customers in sometimes adverse situations without internalizing frustration, anger or pressure.

This is a full-time, hourly position. We offer competitive pay and  a comprehensive benefit package.
